I enjoyed growing up with food and culture being a big part in who I am. Family and food have always been intertwined and been a way to show how we care for one another. I remember Sundays being a family day. We would all pack into the car and head to church then to my Grandparent’s apartment. 20- 30 loud Italians eating food from 11am till in some cases midnight. I remember that apartment. A small 3 bedroom where my aunts and uncles grew up on my father’s side. All 7 children and my grandparents. When I was a child though, one of the bedrooms they must have shared growing up was used as extra storage for food. Pies, bread, fruits and vegetables sitting on tables in that room waiting for a feast.

I adore cooking for my family and friends. It is another way for me to communicate how much I care for them. I'm always down to try something new in the kitchen as well. I definitely have some fails. That just means I get to try again. Knowing what ingredients make something successful is just the beginning. What you do with and how you treat those ingredients is just as important.

As a child I spent most of my time at various baseball fields playing with my friends and in some cases my older brothers and their friends. Baseball quickly became a part of what I do and continue to do to this day. From pick up games in the street to organized ball and now as the player/manager for an Adult team I still love the game.

My professional journey has had many twists, turns and detours to now find myself here at Candor.  One of my first jobs was working in a residential home for abused and neglected children. The job was incredibly rewarding and equally stressful. Some of these circumstances that these children had to endure was incredible and heartbreaking. To see the resiliency and the survival instinct of some of these kids was incredible.

I stayed with this organization until my father began to have some health problems and I moved back in with him. I needed something a bit more flexible to be able to be available for him.  I decided to get into sales. I have always been a self starter at my core and felt that sales could be a good avenue to make money and still have a bit of flexibility. Unfortunately I hated my first sales job.  After coming from a human services residential setting I transitioned into car sales. I found out quickly that this wasn't necessarily my environment.  I quickly began to search for other opportunities.

I then began working for a portfolio and subprime lender out in Framingham. That quickly transitioned to working for A paper banks and identifying loans that may fit in their portfolios but are in the subprime realm. Well, at that point we started to see some of the cracks in the mortgage industry and I decided on a new path.

I then earned my health and life insurance, Series 3, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses and began working as a financial advisor for a company affiliated with New York Life called Eagle Strategies.  My father's health continued to decline and I found myself working more in the financial district in Boston which created some complexities for us. I needed something closer to home.

This is where I began working for a local non-profit called LUK Inc, who I still do training for on occasion. During my tenure there I was the director of two residential programs, implemented federal and state grants, developed internal and external training platforms, hosted seminars, developed policy and procedures along with many more duties. My father passed away during my time there as a full time employee. Upon his passing I decided to own the home I was raised in and have since renovated it and still live there to this day.

While working for LUK, I met my now wife. She began working in a different department and we quickly became a couple. Now, just about 10 years later, we are married with two young children which I am proud to say that I am raising them in the house that I grew up in.

Beginning in 2012, one of my best friends earned his real estate license. While he encouraged me to come work with him, I hesitated to get my license because I had been involved in the industry when the market had some turmoil and didn't want to be reliant on that being my main source of income. I watched him grow his business and begin to invest. I would get involved a bit with him and invest monetarily in some fix and flips. I learned how he and his partners identified properties and what and went to buy. This definitely increased my interest in becoming a real estate agent and I began the process.

My goal was 2018 to be full time in real estate...... one expensive wedding and two kids later....... 2021 became the year I declared my independence from a w-2.  I began working with my best friend when I first got my license and within 2 years was a full time agent. I built my business from referrals and relationships. All the while I found that I am still able to get that rewarding feeling I had working in the nonprofit world when helping my clients realize their real estate goals. From first time home buyers, to multi family investors, or downsizing retirees, I am helping them achieve what they need for themselves and their families. Real estate was the fit and the fulfillment I didn't get in any of my other sales jobs.

At this point, I am content. I get to spend more time with my family than most parents do, my wife gets what she wants, which is to stay home and raise our children. I get to work with my best friend and we are doing well.

Then in comes Candor Realty.

One of my aspirations was always to grow my real estate career. I began the process of getting my broker license so that I could open my own brokerage in MA and NH. Through this I wanted to build a team that was different. I wanted to build a team focused on relationships with clients and support a culture that was familial. My plan was also to begin training more in real estate. None of these plans included leaving the office I had.

Until....... I was asked by Hannah Hodge if I would be interested in speaking with Candor about the GM role that was available. Once I saw what the role consisted of I felt as though this could be a fit but, I was apprehensive to leave what I had behind. I took the interview with Jon Bombaci and I could tell that this wasn't just a Realty company. They were a group of successful folks who had already begun some of the work that I wanted to do. Hearing from other agents who worked with them and speaking to them I could tell we shared some values in our work. This is how I found myself where I am now. I am now a member of Candor Realty as of November 2024.

My professional goals have not changed since joining Candor. They have been enhanced. Ultimately my goals are to have financial independence through real estate for my wife and I and be able to pass it along to my children. I love my family and have many close friends that I consider my chosen family as well. As an adult I did lose both of my parents to illness.

I treasure every moment I got with them and they still guide me today. I adore my wife and kids. The wonderful thing about this work is that I can achieve the goals I set personally by achieving my professional goals, which consists of helping others reach their personal and professional goals.
