Douglas M. Mercurio

Prime Insurance Services, Inc

Doug Mercurio is a Real Estate attorney, investor and the owner of Prime Insurance Services, Inc.  He handles title, closings and insurance needs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and also offers insurance in Maine.

Doug was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2003 and has focused in real estate law, representing buyers, sellers and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions ever since.  Whether it is a first time homebuyer purchasing a small, owner-occupied condo, or an experienced investor purchasing a large multifamily property, Doug has the knowledge, skill and experience to navigate the transaction and bring it to a successful conclusion.  Doug started at a high-volume real estate firm and started a real estate division at another firm before starting his own practice in 2005, where his concentration in Real Estate continued.  Doug has been recognized by his peers for his expertise in the Real Estate law and selected as a “SuperLawyer”, a distinction earned by no more than 5% of attorneys, each year since 2015.  Doug prides himself at looking at the ‘big picture’ to advise his clients and coming up with creative solutions when his client’s situation calls for something outside the box.

Looking to be able to meet more of his client’s needs and simplify the process of buying Real Estate, Doug started Prime Insurance Services, Inc in 2021.  Prime is an insurance brokerage that works with a number of local and national insurance carriers, and has built his portfolio of carriers around the needs of real estate investors, selecting the most competitive carriers with the best coverage options.

In addition, Doug began his road as a Real Estate investor himself, with buy and hold rentals, flips and participating in syndication transactions, and he understands the benefits of Real Estate investing and the unique challenges investors face.

When not working, Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 kids, working with a number of non-profit and charitable organizations, having served on the Board of a number of them, and playing ‘old man basketball’ at the local Knights of Columbus.
