Although my true background is in construction, I have also been a licensed real estate agent since 1999. I grew up watching my grandfather build subdivisions throughout Massachusetts and Florida, spending my childhood summers and teen years working on job sites. This gave me a front-row seat to the entire building process, from utility installation and excavation to pouring footings/foundations, framing, and septic design.

As an adult, I worked as a labor foreman for the building division of a midsize construction firm in Massachusetts, where we focused primarily on hospitals and universities. Ten years ago, I suffered a horrendous accident where I broke every bone in my body and almost blew up with my vehicle. Though I refused to believe the doctors when they told me my life would be different moving forward, they were partially correct. After months of grueling rehabilitation, I learned how to walk again and realized that my days of physical labor would be limited at best. I decided to pursue furthering my education in construction management at Wentworth University and, at the same time, to get more involved in real estate.

Over the past five years, I started my own company, Carullo And Sons General Contracting, and joined Jon's team at Candor Realty Group, powered by Four Points. As a real estate agent, I have focused on working with investors on multi-family transactions, as well as sellers and buyers of single-family homes. I also handle G.C. work for members of our team, and my most current project is a condo conversion on the water in Danvers. Last year, I took on my own flip project that required extensive renovation work, and it turned out to be a howling success.

It has taken time and a lot of effort to integrate my construction company with my real estate business, but I have never been more content with where I am at this moment. Working with Jon and the rest of the team at Candor has been an incredibly positive experience. Jon is a genuinely kind person who wants to see us all flourish individually and as a team. My experience as a contractor gives me an advantage when working with buyers or sellers because I can see things that most people cannot.
